From 1970s office building to a high-quality residential environment.
Ypsilon Park is being realized in the leafy Benoordenhout district of The Hague: the transformation of an existing 1970s office building into 79 high-quality condominiums and penthouses.
A unique renovation project in which an existing load-bearing structure is given new life and makes way for a high-quality and sustainable living environment.
We are proud that the Forestlines® facade system was chosen for the wooden cladding of this project.
The facade will be constructed using Basralocus FSC100% and installed in accordance with fire reaction class B.
What makes this collaboration particularly special for us is that, at an early stage, OZ architect and Dura Vermeer Heyma explicitly raised the question of how the ecological impact could be further optimized.
Therefore, together, we sought ways to utilize the available wood as efficiently as possible.
By consciously working with different plank widths and optimized lengths, more sections can be extracted from each tree trunk, increasing material yield and further reducing the impact on forest resources. A choice that may not be immediately visible, but makes a significant difference.
The project was developed by Molsbergen Development BV, designed by OZ architect, and is being realized by Dura Vermeer Heyma. The installation of the wooden cladding is handled by Flow Gevelbekleding, and delivery is managed by our Forestlines® dealer Boogaerdt Hout.
A high-quality collaboration between all parties involved, which undoubtedly contributes to a new architectural gem in The Hague.
